No Mistakes Allowed
Where do I sign the Mass title, I don’t want to make a mistake. If it is a Massachusetts Title, a brown title – they are pretty straightforward. If you are selling or buying the car – you never sign on the front of the title – only the back. Buying Springfield Auto Insurance can be tricky be sure to call our office for your Commerce car insurance quote.
The back is broken down into four sections.
- The top section is for a person-to-person sale.
- The person whose name is on the front of the title is selling it to you.
- You then sign is space for “Purchaser”.
- The seller signs in space for “Seller”.
If you are buying the car from a licensed Massachusetts dealer – this is where the other three sections come into play – they allow the transfer of the vehicle from dealer to person etc.
The dealer will show you where to sign.
Out of State Title
If it is an out-of-state title – they are all different. Here, the best thing to do is have the seller sign it in space for “Seller” (sometimes on front sometimes on back) and just bring the title into us – we can handle the rest for you. We have seen titles from just about every state and we will make sure it is filled out properly for you.
