Mass Auto Policy Part 3 – Injury Caused by an Uninsured Auto
This part protects you, anyone you let drive your auto, household members and passengers (unless covered by another MA Auto Insurance Policy with similar coverage) – against losses (Bodily Injury) caused by an uninsured or unidentified (“hit and run”) driver.
So when you buy Mass Insurance you will have this very important part and you can choose the level of coverage you get.
A minimum auto insurance limit of $20,000 per person and $40,000 per accident is required. This coverage does not pay for property damage or damage to your auto.
Higher Limits Available
You may want to purchase higher limits – like 50/100 or 100/300 – the additional cost per year on your insurance is minimal. This part cannot carry limits higher than your Part 5 coverage.
Also pays if you are injured as a pedestrian or for passengers in your vehicle.
90% of the cars out there are covered by insurance – so your chances of suffering a bodily injury by a car that is uninsured are slim – but it can happen. This is why the state requires Mass auto policy Part 3 Injury Caused by an Uninsured Auto.
